In regards to this post, color and what is perceived as “beautiful”

someone asked to see kim k darkened. stingray also made her hair more kinky. so let’s see how people will be praising her now.

Okay well since we’re trying to prove racial points now someone go and make jennifer hudson white and lets see how many people praise her or how about lauryn hill, naomi campbell, beyonce, erykah badu, and whoever is a black woman in the public eye thats praised. I doubt she’ll be looked at as the same.

Not everything is one sided. Just because kim k or rita ora are light skin doesnt automatically make them beautiful, its just what certain people find beautiful. Everyones entitled to their opinion you can’t get mad at someone for looking the way they do (even though kims had a lot of work done). This shit is just extremely irritating to me because i get shit all the time for looking the way i look because I’m so fair. People always say “well if you were dark skin and had kinky hair you wouldn’t be as pretty as you are or look the way you do” No fucking shit because thats not me, i was made the way i am and thats all there is to it. I, and any other woman who is getting ridiculed for being a certain complexion (light or dark), can’t control the way our parents made us.
